ADVANTAGES (eco friendly)
HTP's kayak possess clear advantages in terms of shape stability (stiffness), impact and abrasion resistance and overall kayak weight compared to other kayak materials. HTP's kayak is also very environmentally-friendly. If the kayak has any blems the kayak is recycled at the time of production. No poisonous fumes or residue are created during production. HTP kayak is also ground water-neutral and free of heavy metals.
This means that the kayak production workers are safer, end users more comfortable and at the end of the product's life, the HTP can be reused, and even if discarded does not directly harm the environment.

Prijon Kayaks
In 1962, World Champion Toni Prijon founded the company, Prijon GmbH, which for more than 40 years has led the development of the sport in both design and technological advancement. Today, Prijon is Germany 's largest kayak manufacturer. Their kayaks are known world wide for their absolutely functional performance and unmatched durability.
Prijon's Kayak hallmark is their line of Extrusion Blow molded HTP "High Performance Thermolplast "kayaks. HTP kayaks are stiffer, stronger and last longer than any other Polyethylene. HTP Kayaks performance and rigidity rivals' fiberglass kayaks, but its durability far exceeds any other kayak material.
Prijon kayak designs are functionally designed for specific realms of usage ranging from frequent day kayak paddlers, to extended – very rugged kayak expeditions. Each kayak excels in its particular application niche. Most kayaks perform well in many niches.
Prijon Kayaks and Evolution Expeditions, Kayak Las Vegas Tours have worked together for several years now. Our partnership grows from our shared appreciation for kayaking and paddling as a sport or in kayak tours. This drives our commitment to bringing quality commensurate with our love for the sport to all of our kayaks.
Quality is not restricted only to the kayak hull materials. It extends to all aspects of kayak outfitting and is ranked at the highest levels you will find from any manufacturer.
We are confident you will be satisfied in the performance and longevity of your investment in Prijon kayaks. We thank you in your interest and wish you the best on all your paddling adventures.
How Prijon Kayaks are made
High Performance Thermoplastic HTP
Polyethylene pellets (PE), color additives and UV – stabilizers – these are the basic ingredients from which Prijon manufactures its world famous HTP kayaks. Prijon uses a special PE for the production of its kayaks and that is HTP. This material can only be used in blow-molding and not in the rotomolding process used by other kayak manufactures. The Prijon Kayak molecular chains of HTP are about 10 times stronger than the ones of rotomolding. This difference and how it is processed produces considerably stiffer, lighter, more impact and abrasion-resistant kayak hulls. There is a very substantial base to the legend of HTP's kayak durability.
PRODUCTION
Blow molded is done in a Prijon's kayak plant dedicated solely to kayak production. In the plant the materials are heated and extruded into the form of kayak sized tubes. The raw HTP kayak tube is then enveloped side to side by shaped mold halves and blown with high pressure air to create each Kayak form. Cooled under pressure, each emerges as a fresh Prijon Kayak.
