Hiking or kayaking? Why not do both! The Kayak, Hike, Hot Springs Tour, is our number one outdoor adventure. With your guide you’ll start the tour at 7:30am on a three mile hike in Arizona at White Rock trailhead. As your hiking your way down through the slot canyon that snakes back and forth you can feel the excitement and anticipation of what’s around the next bend.
Remember to stop and look up while you’re hiking because Big Horn Sheep are seen quite often on the cliffs above.
Your hike continues down the canyon trail carved by Mother Nature over the centuries that leads to the Colorado River.
The hiking part of the tour ends at the Arizona Hot Springs where soaking in geothermal heated pools situated between the slot canyon walls is rewarding after a leisurely hike.
After a snack and beverage our professional guides will brief you on safety and basic forward paddling strokes. Here you will board your kayak at the rivers’ edge and enjoy the beauty of Black Canyon, Emerald Cave and the 1921 Water Gauging historical sites while paddling down the Colorado River, approximately 8 miles until you reach Willow Beach.
This trip is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. All of our professional guides are CPR and Wilderness First Aid certified and knowledgeable in the history of the Black Canyon and the construction of the Hoover Dam. We have the best equipment, best guides at the best price.
Free shuttle and drop off:
Hotel shuttle pickup times vary and will be given upon confirmation of booking. Trip length from start to finish is approximately 8 hours and may vary with traffic conditions. Shuttle drivers will wait 10 minutes prior to departing your pick up location. Please be courteous to other kayakers and promptly show up on time at your pickup or launch location.
