" Webbed Foot Tour was wonderful "
Let me start by saying there are LOTS of kayak companies out there in the Las Vegas area. The concierge at Red Rock suggested one, but it was a 1/2 day on Lake Mead. I was not interested....boring.... So I mentioned Evolution Expeditions and her light bulb went on. She said they were excellent. Glad I mentioned it!!!
Our guide, Rod picked us up right on time and we were off to the put in. Rod is a really nice guy, laid back and just what we wanted for this kind of excursion. The van, kayaks, life jackets were all "clean"! Turned out to be just my friend and I so we pretty much had a private tour. So we moved along at our own pace and still saw all of the sites including the emerald cave, some ducks and greebs, the water keepers hut on the side of the mountain. The scenery along the way is absolutely gorgeous! The water is green and clear. We pulled over for lunch which was kept nice and cold, along with some iced juice and plenty of cold water.
BTW, we really didn't know quite what to expect of the river given that this is the Colorado River. However, this section is very slow moving and flat. We actually paddled 2.5 miles UPstream and turned around and went back to the put in. It was a very relaxing, beautiful paddle.
I highly recommend Evolution Expeditions. They focus on kayaking and the maintenance of their equipment is evidence.
